It’s time to pack your school bags for MMU and get ready to hit the books - scrapbooks, that is! Memory Mania’s most talented and passionate scrapbook teachers have gathered to create this ALL-NEW Curriculum.

What is MMU? Well, it’s unique cutting-edge class offerings and pure FUN! MMU is especially for you if you ever get in a rut with your scrapbooking, wish you could “kick it up a notch,” or just want to get more layouts and scrapbook projects completed. Started in 2001, MMU is the only scrapbook university of its kind in Louisiana. After eight semesters, we are ringing the school bell in the fall because MMU is back! If you are serious about getting your degree in scrapbooking, earn 18 credits and attend graduation in the spring. But don’t stress out; earning credits is strictly up to you. Any scrapbooker can remain an undergraduate as long as you like (we’ll never tell). Bring your friends, or come and meet new scrapbook enthusiasts to share your hobby. The social aspect of MMU is unique in that students are surrounded by the same scrappers throughout the semester. Many past students have built life-long friendships and enjoy a close camaraderie with others who have attended MMU for many years.

Goofy Girls at 2005 Fall Pep Rally

The ALL-NEW Curriculum consisting of tracks is designed to provide scrappers with an overall education of scrapbooking from the rookie to the advanced to the returning alumni. Learn cool and unique techniques of the trade, increase your photography knowledge to take better photos to showcase on scrapbook pages, learn design tips to make scrappin’ easier, AND/OR come learn how to create the coolest projects with your scrapbook supplies. MMU class layouts or projects will vary from class to class based on class objective. You will leave each class with a beautiful project and the knowledge to incorporate each technique or idea into your own scrapbooks.

Early bird fee and registration is $100 for six classes or $200 for twelve classes. General registration is $125 for six classes and $225 for twelve classes.

All MMU students will receive the following:

“Certify” in scrapbooking techniques taught by Memory Mania teachers. The MMU curriculum includes four tracks. MMU class layouts or projects will vary from class to class based on class objective. You will leave each class with a beautiful project and the knowledge to incorporate each technique or idea into your own scrapbooks. Don’t be surprised if you walk away with homework designed to encourage you to “step outside the box”! Suggested value: $25 per class including instruction and materials.

Join in the spirit of MMU at our opening event. You’ll make new friends and new memories while enjoying your favorite hobby. Attendance at Orientation is required as vital information is provided at this meeting. It’s not all business, though! We also have a lot of fun and act crazy too-bring your cameras and a goody for your sorority sisters!!

Students pursuing their scrapbook degree can accumulate credits by attending classes. Attendance for one class earns one credit, etc. We highly encourage you to take classes from at least 2 different tracks if not more with topics ranging from photo tips to design tips to techniques to projects. Earn your degree after you have obtained 18 credits! Upon successful completion of your course work for the B.S. Degree (Bachelor of Scrapbooking Degree), you will receive your diploma at Commencement in May of 2008. Congratulations! For those of you not interested in pursuing your degree, that’s fine too. You may remain an undergraduate for as long as you like.
